Shopping Areas
There are three main shopping areas in the Township of Wainfleet located at Chambers Corners, the Wainfleet Village, as well as the Long Beach Area.
Chambers Corners
Chambers Corners, also known as the "hub" of Wainfleet Township, is located at the intersection of highway #3 and Regional Road #24. The businesses in this area include a gas station, motel, tire repair, farm equipment, home hardware, retail and a choice of restaurants.
Village
The village is located in the heart of Wainfleet, situated on Highway #3 and the banks of the Welland Feeder Canal. It includes craft stores, a chocolate factory, antique store, feed store, convenience store, post office, and the Niagara Credit Union. Video and game rentals, dry cleaning, courier services and pizza can also be found at Video Time. Other shops can also be found to meet the needs of the citizens of Wainfleet and its visitors.
Long Beach
Located along the Lake Erie shoreline, the Long Beach area serves the summer residents with all of their needs. It includes mini-putt, restaurants, a conservation area, convenience/grocery store and from May - October a weekly Farmers' Market.

Attractions
Niagara Penninsula Conservation Authority Parks
Wainfleet Bog or Marsh
Recently proclaimed as an area in need of natural preservation, many species of plants and animals make this area their home. The Marsh is located in the Eastern end of the Township, and stretches into Port Colborne. With rich deposits of peat, the bog is one of the few known homes of the Massassauga Rattler and is of great natural and historic interest.
Marshville Heritage Village
Forks Road Pottery
Set in a 19th century cheese factory, quality old-fashioned pottery is crafted using a traditional potter's wheel. It is then hand painted or decorated.
The Feeder Canal
Once an active part of the Welland Canal system, the Feeder is no longer used. It was originally the link of the first Welland Canal system between Port Maitland and Allanburg, until it was replaced by a new, larger canal. Feeder road spans from Welland to Port Maitland running through Wainfleet Village. Following this road makes for a beautiful drive while admiring the nature of this wet land.
The Heritage Highways/Talbot Trail
Covering nearly 2000km from Windsor to the Gaspe Peninsula in Quebec, this heritage route traces a path of forts, battle sites and museums. The Talbot Trail follows quiet highways and country roads for 400km winding through three historical and picturesque counties and two regions from Fort Erie to Windsor. Sections of Highway #3 and Lakeshore Road in Wainfleet Township are part of the Heritage Highway/Talbot Trail Route.
Marshville Chocolates
Watch chocolate being made the old fashioned way, take a tour, order specialty items for weddings, showers, parties, or simply enjoy the selection of chocolates, fudge and other candies.
Recreation and Leisure
Golf Courses
Many Golf Courses are available in the area to cater to the avid golfer. The courses range from nine hole courses which cater to the average golfer, such as Long Beach Country Club, to eighteen hole golf courses such as Port Colborne Golf and Country Club and Waterpark Golf and Country Club. Each offers a full eighteen hole course that can challenge all skill levels.
St. Catharines Parachute Club
The club situated in Wainfleet, offers the general public a chance to jump out of an airplane from ten thousand feet above the earth. Three types of jumps are offered based on difficulty and previous experience. Everyone is welcome and lessons are available on site.
Wainfleet Recreation Centre
The recreation centre consists of an arena, 2 baseball diamonds, soccer fields, and tennis courts. Hockey, soccer, figure skating, public skating, minor baseball and tennis courts are open to residents of Wainfleet. The facilities are also available for private bookings at various times.
Accommodations
Wainfleet offers visitors a variety of choices when looking for over night accommodations. Many camping locations are offered; there are three Conservation Parks located at Morgan's Point, Long Beach and Chippawa, as well as many privately owned campgrounds some with beach access to Lake Erie. For those who prefer sleeping in pure comfort, our area motels stand ready to serve.

Wainfleet Fall Fair
Lilac Ball
The Lilac Ball is nearly 20 years old. It is celebrated annually at the end of May. Held as a fundraiser for the Lions Club, the dance draws large crowds year after year to the Wainfleet Arena. Dancing, music, refreshments, and the fragrant smell of lilacs which decorate the hall and make it a beautiful night.
Niagara South Black and White Holstein Show
An annual event talking place on the 3rd Wednesday of August, the show brings together top quality cattle from the Niagara South Area. The show judges cattle on size, conformation, dairiness, and quality of udder. The event is held in the Wainfleet Arena.
Truckers' BBQ
Started in 1993, this charity event raises money for the Lakewood Children's Camp. Held every year on the last weekend in August, it features live country music, BBQ, truck parade and breakfast Sunday morning.
Wainfleet Library Guild Players
The Wainfleet Library Guild Players have been performing since their formation in 1993. The group puts on Dinner Theatre Murder Mysteries as a fund raiser for the Wainfleet Public Library.
