Daring News in Niagara
![]() |
By now, most of you reading this know of the City of Niagara Falls. The name immediately brings to mind thoughts of fun and food, the casinos, and or coarse the falls themselves. However, there is another side to the falls, historic in nature, tempered with the showmanship and daring that made Niagara Falls what it is today. It is this spirit that you will find in the heart of Old Downtown in August.
On August 15th, Celebrate Old Downtown will continue their Contestival 2008 - A year of Festivals, with the next fun filled family event - Daredevil Days!
This festival will bring you incredible entertainment for 3 solid days of the best sights and sounds your sense can handle. The Buskerfestival will the event you won't want to miss, filling the streets of Niagara Falls with live music, jugglers, stilt-walkers and a host of other entertainment spilling out of every corner that you pass. Niagara's local businesses will also be having sidewalk sales during the events so bring your walking shoes because there will be lots to do.
Be sure to "catch" Gene Sullivan (of Evel Kineval fame), who recently jumped from the Skylon Tower, for some of the most death defying stunts ever performed including the crowning moment of the event: A 1000 ft., world record jump from a Helicopter as crowds watch in amazement!
So bring the whole family for fun, food, drinks and world-class excitement in Niagara Falls' Old Downtown. This will be one event that you will not soon forget.
