Adding to the Escabeche's long list of accolades, earlier this month, the Wine Council of Ontario honoured the restaurant with the flattering, yet well deserved  VQA Restaurant Award of Excellence for the second consecutive year. The honour was awarded for outstanding representation of Ontario VQA Wines which dominate the restaurants 8,000 bottle cellar portfolio.

Chef Sommelier Fred Gamula has a 20 year labor of love invested into the collection and boasts “Having sampled many of the world’s best  wines, I can honestly say that this (Niagara) region produces some of the best. It’s been my passion to collect the finest wines from Niagara as well as from around the globe to assemble the best selection of wines for our guests.”
